Free Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids

In the United States we are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday. (It’s in October for our Canadian friends.) Everyone is running around making preparations for the big feast. We thought we would share a few decorations your little artist can make to help contribute to the celebrations.

In our first project, we are making our own miniature Mayflower decoration. We are paying tribute to the ship that brought the Pilgrims over from England in 1620. Your little artist will have fun making and playing with this ship, as it actually rocks and rolls over the pretend waves.

Next, what would Thanksgiving be without turkey decorations? We use our hand and footprints to make this little guy. But this is not your average hand print turkey! Your little artist can make this 3D Turkey to help decorate the table. These also make cute place card settings if he or she wants to make a whole flock!

In this next project, we are using rubber stamps to make napkin rings. Your little artists can decorate however they choose. Rubber stamps are great for big results for little hands. It is important to have fun and to be creative!

Some families like to go around the table at dinner and say what they are thankful for. In this final project, we are making Turkey cards and writing our blessings down. This project is also great to send as a card. We call them huggable cards because they hug the item you put in their arms. We have over twenty-five different cards on our site. To find more please use the search bar at the bottom of the page and type ‘Huggable.’

We hope you remember this Thanksgiving to have fun and enjoy the memories. Nothing is fun when it has to be perfect. Whatever project you make, we know you’ll be telling your little artist, “You’re so creative!”

Happy Thanksgiving!
