International Family Fun Month

The Month of August is International Family Fun Month. We at You’re So Creative are proud to promote learning and family fun. We try to put together ideas that help families learn to play together.

It is important, with children’s screen time at an all time high, that we take time to inspire the imagination. There is no right or wrong way to make art. It truly is in the eye of the artist. We hope that our projects help to inspire your little artist.

In our first project, you can use almost anything to decorate your own mask. We used markers and feathers. But you can use stickers, crayons, puff balls, wasabi tape, anything you have, mixed in with your craft supplies. Remember to let your little artists be creative as they would like.

After you make your mask, why not have a masquerade themed dinner? Everyone can make and wear a costume to go with his or her mask and have a silly dinner.

You might find it fun to be Kings and Queens for the day. We love this hand print crown craft project. Its not only fun to make, but to wear as well.

Children love to see how their hands are different sizes from yours and how they grow. We hope your little artists can keep their crowns and make one every year so they can see how big they are.
