4th of July Crafts
Lately, we have been traveling around the world through crafts. Today we are having fun learning about the United States with these 4th of July Crafts. Your little artists will have fun while we sneak in a little learning.
In our first craft, we are learning about the shape of the continental United States. For older children please feel free to add Alaska and Hawaii. For even older children you could add territories to the project. Click the image below for this free printable.

Next up, we learn about the United States national bird, the bald eagle. We use a fun reverse painting technique to help your little artist paint this majestic bird. Click the image to find out more.

Maybe you are getting ready to go to one of the many 4th of July parades. You and your little artists could make and wear your own crowns. Our little artists love making anything they can wear. Click the image below to find out more.

More hot dogs are consumed on the 4th of July holiday than on any other day of the year. So we thought it was appropriate to make a hot dog craft. Artists may color, and use yarn to add ‘ketchup’ and ‘mustard’ to the project. You can also cut up bits of green yarn to make relish. If you want to get really creative you might rip small pieces of white paper to add ‘onions’. You might be surprised as to what your little artist likes on his or her hot dog. They might even invent their own toppings. To make your own click the image below.

This next process art project is a messy one. I recommend laying down a shower curtain and having a few box tops to help with the cleanup. You can start by dripping paint onto dark colored paper. Then use straws to blow the paint into firework shapes. Click the link to find out more
Fireworks Craft Project
This craft is sure to add the United States colors of red white and blue to your room. We are having fun making our own windsock. Click the link to find out more.

The Statue of Liberty was the first landmark most people saw when arriving by boat in the United States. This symbol of freedom with the promise of a new life still welcomes guests today. We thought it would make a great addition to our 4th of July crafts.

We hope these crafts had you saying, ‘You’re so creative!’
