Anytime is a good time to have a party. Today we are having fun making our own decorations with these party crafts. Let’s decorate!
I don’t know about your little artists but ours love to make miles of paper chains. I cut strips of different colored paper and let them design. Some children may make all one color paper chain. At the same time, others may make them with multiple colors. Paper chains are a great way to introduce patterns to young artists. Maybe make chains with two colors altering in an A B pattern? No matter how you choose to make these chains your room will look like a party.
Now that we have paper chains decorating our room let’s add some streamers. We teach your little artists how to cut spirals in this next craft. You can choose to do this project in two different ways. The first is to print the spiral pattern onto brightly colored cardstock and cut it out. The second is to cut out the spiral and glue on bits of colored paper or confetti. Great for refining small motor skills and preparing to learn to write. Click the link to print the spiral printout.
Spiral Party Streamer Craft Project
Now that the streamers are hanging from the ceiling it is time to add some balloons. This next craft is perfect for schools that don’t allow balloons in elementary classes. (Chocking hazard.) Now that your room is ready for a party it’s time to make your little ones look like it too. In our final craft, we are teaching your little artists how to make and wear their own party hats.
