Wildlife Crafts
We are having fun using our imaginations pretending we are in the forest. In today’s newsletter, we are making wildlife crafts to help bring the forest to your little artists wherever you may be. While the forest animals vary from the area you live in we thought we would share a few of our favorites. To find more please visit our forest theme.
In our first craft, we are using your little artist’s footprints to give this squirrel his tail. There are a couple of different ways to complete this craft. You may choose to trace your artist’s foot and play pin the tail on the squirrel. Or you may paint the child’s foot and have them press it onto the squirrel.

Your little artist will refine small motor skills while making this little stinker. Children pull apart cotton balls to give this guy his fur. Click the image below to make this skunk.

Your little artist is sure to recognize our next wildlife craft. It is a deer. For the littlest artist, I pre-cut out all of the pieces and let them paint assemble. Older artists may practice scissor skills and assemble on their own. Sometimes they even turn out like works from Picasso.

“Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy wuzzy had no hair, Fuzzy wuzzy wasn’t very fuzzy he?”
In our next craft project your little artists can decide how fuzzy to make this bear. Children love cutting and gluing on yarn in this project. Click the image below to make this fuzzy bear craft.

Maybe your little artist would like to make their own forest? They can use rubber stamps to design their very own. Children love when you allow them to create on their own. These stamps do just that. Click the image below to order this set.

We hope you had fun on National Wildlife Day with these fun crafts. I know you will be sure to tell your little artists, ‘ You’re so creative!’
