Lorax Themed Crafts
It might be that time of year when you snuggle up with the Lorax book. Or maybe your little arts would prefer to watch the movie. We were inspired by this story to make our own Lorax Themed Crafts. We thought we would share what we came up with you today.
In case you are not familiar with e story of the Lorax, it is about a creature spreading the message of conservation. In the story, the Lorax tries to save the Truffula trees. Teaching others about how important they are and why they need them.
In this first craft, we are refining small motor skills while designing our own pretend Truffula. Your little artist will have fun pulling apart different colored cotton balls and designing this project. Click the image below to make your own Truffula tree.

In the next couple of crafts, we are offering two different ways to make this Lorax. The first craft is perfect for younger children. You may print the Lorax onto orange paper and then add the mustache with handprints done with yellow paint. Click the image below to make this craft.
Lorax Craft Project
For the next age group up, I let the little artist cut and glue on yellow yarn. I start by copying the pattern onto orange paper. Then I let the little artists design a custom mustache. Older children may want their Lorax on white paper to be able to color themselves. Click the image to start on this Lorax craft project.
