Letter S Crafts
We are continuing to craft our way through the alphabet with the letter S Crafts. We have slowly been working our way through the alphabet with crafts. Today we are sharing some of our favorite letter S crafts.
Kids usually associate the letter S with our first craft project. Maybe it is because snakes take the shape of the letter S. This craft incorporates small motor skills while making a large snake. When complete this snake can be worn around the neck as if they were holding a real snake. Kids love it. Even ask your artist to name their reptile.

Next, we are heading to the sea to find our next letter S craft. We are having fun making seals. Little artists can use his or her fingerprints to give this seal its spots.

Our next project might be hard to pronounce but I am sure your dinosaur loving artists will recognize a stegosaurus. We are using footprints to give this stegosaurus his scutes. Scutes are the official name for the plate-like shapes on the back of this dinosaur. You may use paint or trace the child’s shoe onto paper. Older children might be able to cut out the scutes on their own.

In this project, we are refining small motor skills ripping up tissue paper and making a sun. It is fun to use different shades of yellow and orange tissue paper. Kids love to see how layering the paper makes different colors.

Now that we have made crafts that start with the letter S let learn how to write the letter. We have a few different letter worksheets. We have two large format sheets that work for little artists. These are great to laminate and use with play dough. We also have an upper case with a lower case worksheet for older children.
