Free Letter R Crafts for Kids ages three and up

Letter R Crafts

We are always having fun creating new ways to teach little artists through arts and crafts. We have been working on a collection of newsletters to teach letter recognition. Today we are sharing letter R crafts.

We are heading down to the farm to make our first letter R craft. Your little artist is sure to recognize a rooster. You may also add feathers to make this project sensory friendly.

We are off to see the wizard for our next letter R craft. Children love to learn different words for colors. Even though red is an R-word we are calling this project ruby.

Next, we are having fun pretending to be raccoons. Little artists can sponge paint a mask cut and wear. Perfect for refining small motor skills and increasing imagination.

Our final craft is one of our classics. I have been making this craft with our littles for over twenty years. If you have an older artist they may cut out the strips of paper on their own. For younger artists have the paper strips ready to go and let them assemble.

We also have a few different types of letter worksheets. We have a large letter format, a large format with dotted lines, and upper/lower case letter practicing. The large-format pages are great for laminating and using with playdough or other manipulatives.
