Junk Food Crafts
Last week we shared a collection of healthy food crafts so it would only make sense to have junk food crafts this week. Maybe you are using these crafts to learn about the human body and what helps fuel us. These crafts are great for teaching your little artist that these are treats and not everyday foods. Let’s have some fun learning with these crafts.
In our first craft, we are designing our own cookies. We used real food like chocolate chips, oatmeal, and sprinkles to make these cookies. But you could switch out the paper versions of toppings instead depending on your needs. Click the image below to find out more.
Cookie Craft Project
This next project is not only great to teach about junk food but also math. Your little artist may design up to five different scoops of ice cream. I like to make this craft, count the scoops, and ask if I ate two scoops how many would be left. We go back and count the remaining scoops. You will get the ‘scoop’ on this project by clicking the image below.
Ice Cream Craft Project
This next craft has your little artist perfecting their scissors skills. We start by coloring and then cutting out. When completed we discuss the different shapes and count the number of sides each piece of candy has. Click the image below to print and make this junk food craft.
Candy Cutout Craft Project
Our final craft is fun to eat at any fair or festival. But too much of it would make this an unhealthy choice. Your little artist can refine small motor skills while pulling apart colored cotton balls to make this project. These cotton balls usually come in there very cotton candy friendly colors like, yellow, pink, and blue. Click the image below for the free printable.

We hope these crafts didn’t make you too hungry. Instead, we hope you had fun learning with our junk food crafts. No matter what you chose to make we know you are sure to tell your little one, ‘You’re so creative!’
