Free International Forest Day Crafts for Kids

Today, Mach 21 is International Forest Day. This is a great day to teach children about all the different types of forests and animals that live around the world. In today’s newsletter, we will be sharing animals from six different continents. While some animals might be found in your local forests, children might get excited to learn about the animals they see at the zoo are considered forest animals in their native countries.

Let us begin with an animal your little artist might see in a North American forest. It is the cute little garbage aficionados, the raccoon.

From North America let’s head down to South America and make our next ‘clingy’ craft. In this craft, we are making a two-toed sloth. When this project is complete it can hug the designer just like a real sloth.

We are staying in the southern hemisphere and heading over to Africa. Little artists are always surprised that gorillas live in a mountain forest.

Let us head up north to Europe to discover a forest animal your little artist is sure to recognize, a reindeer.

Asia is next up on our International Forest tour. Our next animal may be brand new to you and your little artists, the Pangolin. This exotic and unique animal can be found in Asia and northern Africa. Kids love using the one-inch hole punch to decorate and make this craft.
