Farm Crafts

Old Mac Donald had a farm and on his farm were fun farm crafts. Today, April 10th is National Farm Day. So, we thought we would have some fun making our own farm.

In our first craft, we are coloring our barn and giving this lamb his wool. While real sheep produce 7 to 10 pounds of wool we are using a few simple cotton balls. To make this project please click the image below.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? Well in today’s newsletter the chicken comes first. We are using handprints to make feathers on our birds. You may use paper cutouts or painted palms. Click the image below to find out more.

Next up we are making a farm craft that is based on the number one crop in the United States, corn. We are supporting our farmers by using real popcorn kernels to complete this art project. Click the image to make your own corn on the cob.

Speaking of corn…. One of our favorite snacks is popcorn. But like us, you might not be a fan of all the unhealthy ingredients in microwave popcorn. A few years ago we switch to this air proper for the microwave. We are lucky enough to get locally farm grown popcorn. Yum! This is healthier and just as easy to make. Microwave Popper

Our little artists love making and wearing their own art creations. In our last two projects, we are making farm animal mask. The pig mask is our number one most made craft on our entire website. This is fun to make and act out the three little pig story. Maybe you just want to play pretend.
