Dr. Seuss Crafts
We decided to celebrate our favorite rhyming doctor. We love the silly rhymes and made up words. As I am sure you do too. They inspired us to make these silly Dr.Seuss crafts. We hope your little artists have as much fun with these projects as we did.
Our first craft is based on the story ‘Cat in the hat‘. Hopefully, your little artist won’t rain havoc in your room as the cat did in this story. We color, cut out, and even wear this crazy cat in the hat craft. It is fun to read this story to a classroom full of decorated cat hats. Click the image below to print your own crazy cat craft.

This next craft might have you questioning the foods you might try. It’s the story of, (gulp) ‘Green eggs and ham.‘ This craft might have you saying- Would you make this here or there? Would you make this anywhere? I would make them here or there. I would make green eggs and ham anywhere. Click the link to make this project anytime.

Next up we have a story about conservation, ‘The Lorax.’ Your little artist will have fun cutting and gluing yellow yarn while giving this Lorax his illustrious mustache. A great shortcut for this project is to print him onto orange paper. Click the link to print your free pattern.
Lorax Craft Project
We are staying in the story of ‘The Lorax’ in this next project. We are refining small motor skills while pulling apart colored cotton balls to make these imaginative trees. Click the image below to find out more.

We are turning your little artists into engineers with our final project. This is probably one of the most recognizable Dr. Seuss characters, the Grinch. Even though he is mostly thought of at Christmas time we thought he is a great addition to this newsletter. Click the image to engineer your own Grinch bag.

We hope you had fun reading some of Dr. Suess’s books. Maybe they will inspire you to make and design your own projects. I know that whatever your little artists end up making, will have you saying, ‘You’re so creative!’
