Circus Crafts
We are exploring circus crafts on World Circus Day. The modern circus dates back all the way to the mid-1700s. It featured acrobatics, riding, and clowning. Now today when you think of the circus, what do you think of? We have lots of projects about the circus and all the things you might see there. Today we chose just three of our projects to make and create. If you are looking for circus crafts, please click HERE.
The circus tent might be one of the most recognizable images from the circus. In our first craft, we are letting little artists cut and glue on strips to make their own tent. Click the image below to print your own free tent.
One of my favorite things about today’s circus is the cotton candy. Your little artist can design his or her own cotton candy without the sugar rush, by using color cotton balls. This is a great craft for refining small motor skills and getting ready to hold pencils. To make this craft click the image below.

A circus would just not be the same without clowns. In this circus craft, we are becoming silly clowns with our own funny clown costumes. Your little artists will have fun designing and wearing this simple costume. It is a great idea to have many different colors of paper available to make this project. I am absolutely in love with Astrobright card stock paper. It comes in 25 different colors and shades. Click the image below to order for your next project.
Now that we have our supplies let’s make our clown costume. Click the image below to find out more.
