This northern European Christmas character is sure to be recognizable to your little artists. We are making and decorating our own gingerbread men. In this project, we use fabric trim to give this craft it’s signature ‘icing’. Click the image below to find out more.

This next craft is one of my personal favorites. It is simple and easy with big results.
We are heading north to the Scandinavian counties to make this adorable dancing gnome. We use Newton’s third law, Every action has an equal and opposite reaction to make this fun craft. Your little artist will have fun making this action packed craft.

This next project dates back to Roman times. The wealthy Romans would hang a wreath on their front doors. You may do the prep work and cut out the holly leaves or use fake leaves to make this wreath craft. Then we used a 1′ hole punch and red paper to make berries. Click the image below to find out more.
Wreath Craft Project
We mentioned earlier that not everyone celebrates Christmas. In this craft, we learn about how some people celebrate the holiday of Kwanzaa in the days following Christmas. Click the image below to find out more.
Kwanzaa Craft Project
Some say the tradition of the Christmas tree dates back to the pagans. They used to bring trees into the house to give fairies a warm place to live during the colder months. They decorated the trees to make the fairies feel welcome. Every tree had at least one bell added to the decorations. It was said when the bell rang it meant the fairies were happy.
In this next craft, we are using heart shapes to make our own trees. Who knows maybe a fairy will pick your tree to live in.
