Farm Week Crafts
The third week in September is National Farm Week. This starts at just about the same time as the autumn harvest. We are using this week to make art and learn about different things you will see on a farm. Everything from animals to tractors. Today we are share just a few of our farm week crafts.
This first craft is sure to be one your little artist will recognize. That’s right, it is a cow. We are making and wearing this cow mask. They are sure to have fun pretending to be a cow. Click the image below for a free printable project.
Cow Craft Project
We have been making this next craft with our little artists for over 20 years. It is always a favorite with the parents. We use our thumbprints to make this wheat art project. It is always a good idea to have a few wet wipes on hand to ensure the fingerprints remain where we want them.
Wheat Craft Project
This next craft is always a huge hit. Little artists love making projects they can play with when they are done. This tractor is like building his or her own toy. For the littlest artists, I cut out all the piece and let they assemble. We hold pieces into place and count to five, to let the glue set before moving onto the next piece. For older children I let them practice cutting skills to make the tractors. Click the image below for the printable pattern.
