We continue to craft our way through the alphabet. Today we’re doing craft projects that begin with O. We currently have ten crafts that start with O on our website. To find more, simply use the search bar at the bottom of any page.
Today we decided to share our Onion, Ox, Owl and Outer Space projects. Let’s get started.
Our first project might make you cry, but hopefully this project won’t! Your little artists will refine their small motor skills while ripping tissue and giving this onion its layers.
Onion
Supplies:
- Copy of onion
- Markers or Crayons
- Tissue paper
- Glue stick
Directions:
- Print copy of onion.
- Color.
- Rip tissue paper and glue to make onion skin.
Next, your little artist can learn about the letter O by becoming an ox, making and wearing his or her very own ox headband. Make one, or make an entire herd!
Ox Headband
Supplies:
Directions:
- Print copy of ox.
- Color.
- Cut strip of paper long enough to fit around child’s head.
- Cut out ox.
- Glue ox onto paper strip.
- Glue ends of strip of paper together.
- Let dry.
- Wear.
Let’s take flight in our next project that begins with O by gluing feathers on our very own owls. It’s fun sometimes to use bright colored feathers instead of natural feathers, but make your project however you choose. Just remember to have fun and use your imagination!
Owl
Supplies:
Directions:
- Print copy of owl.
- Glue on feathers.
Our last project has us blasting off into outer space. We’ll use rubber stamps and metallic ink to make our own version of outer space. Let your little artists have creative freedom with this project. They can add as many stars and planets as they would like.
Outer Space
Supplies:
Directions:
- Use stamps to make an outer space scene.
