September 13th is the Chinese Moon Festival. It is also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival or the Moon Cake Festival. It is a favorite holiday in the Asian culture.
The Chinese Moon Festival is also an extremely fun time for family and friends to reunite under a full moon. Everyone takes a little time look at the beautiful full moon on what is hopefully the clearest night of the year. The round shape and completeness of the full moon symbolizes the reunited pieces of the year.
This holiday is second only to the Chinese New Year that takes place in January or February. If you need more Asian-themed crafts, please check out our Asian Art and Chinese New Year category by clicking HERE.
We have some fun Moon projects you can make to help celebrate this festival.
