Halloween Crafts

Last time we went a little batty and shared all of our fun bat crafts. To find these bats please click HERE. But, this week we are having fun with even more Halloween crafts for your little artist.

The first craft we are sharing is our crazy monster craft. For the littlest artist, you can skip the coloring and just glue on the eyes. This craft is perfect for sneaking in a little math. You can talk about the number of eyes, if you add one more how many would you have? Then we count the eyes on the monster when we are finished.

The next craft is sure to have you rocking and rolling. This is our dancing bat project. We use this bat to teach one of Newton’s scientific principles that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Click the image to find out more.

We are using a bit of artistic magic in our next craft. Little artists of all ages love this reverse painting technique. This time we use it to make a ghost. You may make this with or without the eyes. Or maybe your artist would like to draw their own.

Our next project uses shapes to design and make Jack-o-lanterns. Feel free to allow children with scissor skills to cut out their own pieces. You might be surprised at how creative your little artist may be with this project.

In today’s final project, we are sharing our troll. This project is great for refining small motor skills. You may use color cotton balls like the one we used. Or use any art supplies such as ripped tissue paper, puffballs, cotton swabs, any supplies you may have. Having children practice by grabbing and gluing small items prepares them for writing skills later on.
