We are all abuzz with our Beehive craft project…

This month we have been focusing on plants: how they grow, and making flowers. Now we are talking about one of the many useful ways bees help our gardens grow. This art project features our favorite little pollinator’s home, the beehive. It is also a great opportunity to teach your little one not to be afraid of bees, because they have a very important job to do. (Other than make honey. Yum!)

Beehive craft project:

This project uses your little ones’ finger prints to make bees. They can make as many bees as they would like. When they have finished, use a marker to add wings.

It is always a great idea when using stamp pads to have a supply of diaper wipes. They make for quick and easy clean up. It helps to make sure those little finger prints end up on the paper and not on your walls!

If you are looking to make this project longer, you can always have your little artist sponge paint the beehive. We recommend yellow, but feel free to let your artist pick the color.

We hope you had fun making a home for the bees to live in, because we think, “You’re so creative!”
