Hello everyone. The excitement of the upcoming Easter holiday is filling our house. We are busy thinking bunnies and Easter eggs. Oh, and so much candy.
Our Spring and Easter project category is getting bigger by the minute. Bunnies, baskets, and much more. We currently have seven ideas live on our site, with more on the way. If you would like to see all of the projects currently available, please click Spring and Easter.
We are always trying to come up with fun new basket/container ideas for the candy. There are only so many baskets you can have before they end up in a donation box. We try to think of useful, reusable or recyclable ideas. This year we are making a Bunny Bag. This project is both reusable and recyclable.
Our friends over at Roses for Tomorrow , an organization which does fundraising for local charities, donated a bunch of brown paper gift bags. We have been turning the bags into all sorts of fun projects, including these cute bunny bags. They are easy and fun to make. Before we knew it, we had a whole colony of them. We have thought of ways your little ‘Bunnies’ can create and make their own Easter baskets. This is a fun, sensory craft using large soft pom-pom balls. They start out by coloring the basket in any way they choose. Once complete, they can fill with pom-pom ‘eggs’. You can find the large one inch pom-poms in a variety of colors. We decided this holiday warrants pastels.
You may also start out this project by hiding the large pom-poms. Having your little ones find all the supplies before the project begins is a great way to get all the wiggles out before craft time. We hope your little ones will enjoy designing and filling their baskets.
Spring brings us all sorts of baby animals. This week’s project includes our baby Ducky. This cute little guy needs some color and feathers. If you are looking for a longer project, have your little one color the ducky and then add yellow feathers. If you are running short on time or attention span, try just gluing on feathers. We are sure whatever your artist decides will be spectacular. After all, “You’re so creative!”
